I am mainly speculating and throwing thoughts out in the wind. I am not personally picking someone. There are three people I would like to briefly look at. The three I would like to consider here in no particular order of importance is here: Ted Cruz, Scott Walker, and Henry Cuellar. I am not going to take the time to go into great details because at this point, there is no reason for it.
Ted Cruz has hit the ground running lately. He is the first to throw in his hat. While I think he has some good talking points, would he follow through on those points? Mr. Cruz might be a good president however; there is one thing that should be resolved. He was born in Canada and I am sure that the rules state that a president has to be born in the USA. I will not get into our current President's issues he had to deal. I happen to think that if a country does not stand on rules, a country does not stand on anything. What would happen if Ted Cruz made it all the way to being announced as the next US president and the supreme court said not legal? Who would become president? The vice president Ted Cruz chose, the democrat running for office, or the current sitting president?
Scott Walker also has some good talking points and speaks well. I think he would be likely to stick to his beliefs more or less but that is just an opinion. He is a fighter which I think is good for a president. Despite my personal opinion on some of President Obama's policies, he is a fighter for what he believes.
Henry Cuellar is not even thinking about running for president as far as I can tell however; I think he might be a good president. He has dealt with the problems of our boarder town of Laredo, TX. I am sure that dealing with Mexico and US interests so intimately has helped him to understand relationships between sovereign countries. He should consider running for president in my humble opinion.
I will say, I do not know any of those three individuals nor have I delved into their deep beliefs. I am far from pontificating, I am just brushing the surface. That reminds me, where is John Edwards? I know he had and perhaps still has issues but, to me he was kind of interesting when he ran for president. He had good talking points back in the day, I would speculate that as President, he probably would not have stuck to his talking points but that is simply an opinion on my part. Oh well, I had a bit of fun writing this and hope you enjoyed where your mind took you beyond my simple musings.~b
