My son and I were actors in a haunted house this year. We had makeup put on and costumes. You can see the woman who put makeup on my face did a really good job at adding wrinkles and pasty color to make me look old. I was amazed at how makeup can change a person’s face. My son had makeup put on to make him look less alive since he was a creature from the grave. I was in the hillbilly room and my son was in the graveyard room. My son’s mask was purple.
I was shocked at how much five hours of scaring people took out of a person. Both my son and I had sore throats and bodies. Sunday my whole body ached. I now realize it is real work to perform and act and have gained insight into how professional actors must feel. I would have never believed that acting was so hard if I had not experienced a small part of it this Halloween. I do enjoy learning and understanding new things in this life. Cheers, ~b
