Perhaps someone should look into the manufacturer of these balls. With our advanced technological world, it is not hard to believe the manufacturer or some people within the company could have altered the balls. Maybe someone worked in conjunction with the quarterback or the team.
A thought from personal experience ... I have noticed while living in North Dakota where it gets cold that; I have to add air in my tires more frequently in the colder months and, some brands and types require weekly and sometimes more often than that inflation. I have found a brand and type now that has only required once or twice in months. This tells me that the material used in manufacturing determines specific qualities and applications. What if there was an agreement between a small group of people to use an inferior or more porous internal bladder. The ball could be inflated properly for the inspection then because of the material, deflate rapidly.
Another thought ... perhaps in the design was a trick deflation technique. We have all seen magicians do tricks we could not explain. What if the quarterback could press a finger in a certain spot on the ball to release some air? What if a stitching issue was perpetrated?
I just found it interesting to ponder outside of the box. These theories are just that ,,, theories.~b
