Greetings! I can’t help being sad with the visit of Pope Francis. It is still early in his visit and we will see if my sadness is justified. I am not a Catholic but I do notice the Catholic Church and its impact on our world. If all the media hype has some solid ground to write on, I think we ought to be wary about all this climate change business. Another thing that gives me a bit of trepidation, is the fact that the media has so overwhelmingly praised the visit of this Pope. The media has not been a friend to ‘Christianity’ in quite some time. Why is the media all of a sudden welcoming what some would say is a man of God? I personally see the Pope as simply a man. Pope Francis does not come across to me as someone who focusses on our relationship with our creator solely. It seems to me that this Pope is mainly focusing on Political issues in the world and not godly issues. Granted, that is just my opinion and I do not know the Pope personally however; the Bible tells us we will know a men’s by their fruits.
The whole premise that mankind is directly effecting the earth’s climate is full of falsehoods and holes. If this Pope is truly interested in the man-made climate change lie and speaks about it from a ‘holy’ pedestal, I will lose any respect I have of this man. The men of the Bible including Jesus Christ himself said absolutely nothing about climate change being a part of our relationship with God. How can a Pope who is supposed to represent Jesus say, our requirement for being Christians is to be actively concerned about climate change? Frankly, it is a very distasteful corruption of the Word of God.
Our world will change not because of man-made climate change as President Obama believes but, because of the spiritual man-made climate change we are witnessing in the 21st century. ~b
Hello friends. Have you noticed that politically our country goes back and forth? We generally have eight years of republican rule and then eight years of democrat rule. One thing that stays constant is our government grows bigger and bigger no matter who is in office. I credit the establishment for more government control. It really doesn’t matter what party is in control, the other side always tells us they will change this and are fighting for us. There is always one side of the political landscape that says they can’t do anything right now but IF!
One thing that is different this time with President Obama is he has brazenly advanced more government control than any other President in our history. I am amazed that the Americans will not stop the assault on our freedoms. We have been lulled into believing that government knows best!
There are three potential candidate as I see it right now who; are not part of the establishment which truly rules our country. The three are: Donald Trump, Ben Carson, and Bernie Sanders. Each of these candidates thumb their noses at the establishment. Whether or not we agree with these three men’s opinions, one thing is certain, the establishment does not like these men. It seems like the establishment is at a loss as to how to rein these men in or, eliminate their claim on the throne.
Perhaps Americans are finally fed up enough where, they will try to elect a non-establishment candidate. I believe that Obama has advanced the hidden power’s agenda so quickly that Americans might be waking up, I certainly hope so. I can’t find any difference between any of our elected officials no matter if they have an ‘R’ or ‘D’ beside their names. They are all power hungry and won’t upset the apple cart literally. Sure, they tell us they don’t agree with the other side but, their actions say differently. There are many examples but, let’s look at one of the most recent ones …
… This Iran nuke deal: the Republicans near scream and cuss their disapproval but, they won’t lift a finger to stop it. They could have won by not allowing the sanctions to be lifted because there is a black and white law stating they can but instead, they vote a disapproval deal which is basically spitting in the wind. Oh, they vehemently tell us they will find a way to stop it ‘one day … IF.’ What a crock!
Our country is being set up for a war during the next President’s rule which, right now looks like a Republican. Then Americans will get fed up with war and blame it on the Republicans then we will elect democrats again. The cycle will just keep repeating itself unless, by some means, a non-establishment type gets into office and REALLY does change the status quo. ~b
Hello North Dakota! I sent this to the Bismarck Tribune's Letter to the editor. They finally printed it Thursday Sept. 10th. They changed the title to "Kelley overrides people's choice" and cut a reference to KFYR. There were minor changes but for the most part they kept it as is. The original title was, "..." said, UND President Barack Obama.
For those of you outside of North Dakota you may not be aware of the controversy over a new nickname for UND. My letter (here) is addressing the issue over Liberal ideology in the controversy. Those of you outside of ND will certainly see similarities in your state over a broad range of issues. Enjoy ~b.
