Greetings. Working too much is a drain on the mind. If all we do is work, our mind is focused on work and we cannot see other things of life. It is the same with any other obsession we have. I wished it were easier to stop and see the many delights life has to offer. I suppose it is a process to have a well-balanced life. I hate life taking me on the ride, I would rather take life on the ride. ~b
Hi and hello. My wife and I have been married for 22 years now. We have had good times and bad but that is how you grow together. When two people have been in a relationship for a long time both become better people if you try. The investment is worth the time I assure you. I won’t go into all the highs and lows of my marriage here … it lives inside of me and that is comforting. ~b
Hello. Well it seems like Donald Trump is taking the country by storm. I have to admit that it is refreshing to have a plain talking man run for President. I am also impressed that Trump won’t cow tail to the media or other politicians. Quite honestly, my impression is that the media nor the politicians know how to handle The Donald, and it is hilarious. I am glad that finally the media is given a bit of their own medicine.
The other people running for President should take a page out of the Trump book. Americans are fed up with politics as usual. Here’s the thing though, if another candidate tries to do a Trump, he or she better be real and honest. If there is acting involved, it will be found out by the American people. Fakeness is a sure way to fall hard to the bottom of the heap.
I am looking forward to seeing how Donald Trump plays his hand in the coming year. I think he still has a Trump card up his sleeve. Happy battle watching friends, ~b
Greetings! Sometimes in life we have to do things we don’t want to do. This could be a job, a chore, and activity, etc. Depending on how long we have to do this unfavorable task we can get down and discouraged.
Here in America, we have so many options as to how we spend our time. We can choose many things to do. Most of the time, if we choose the less than desirable task, we are rewarded more so than if we take the easy way out. It is hard to see beyond the hard way at times to visualize the fruit at the end. If we can muster enough will power to see past our present situation we can bear the burden better.
I have to remind myself to follow through till the end many times. It seems like a never ending loop most of my days but, I will be stronger if I continue on the rough road. I do get down and out at times and need a break. Sometimes the break gives me more stamina, and sometimes it is much harder to start up again. This is life my friends, cheers to those of us who keep going. ~b
Greetings! I am glad you stopped by. I have always thought that smaller government is better for a country’s citizens. It has always seemed to me that; when people in government do something they always mess stuff up. That is why I was amused with myself when I thought of this idea.
What if we had a national jury? I have heard as you have that; high profile cases seem to have a difficult time getting an impartial jury. I know it is hard for people to disassociate themselves from their personal beliefs and, it is especially true when something bad happens in your own community. That is why I thought of this idea.
If our country had a national jury who travels to different states and communities to be ‘the jury’ for a case, maybe it would be more impartial. Perhaps the country could pay this jury real well and being on the jury would be a fulltime job. I think you would have to pay the people on this jury very well to get the best impartial people to commit to all the travel and work. We could call the jury, ‘The National Jury’, ‘The Grand Jury’, or whatever sounds best. We could even have an alternate complete jury who is paid the same high income to fill in for The Grand Jury so everyone could have personal time off to be home with their family and friends. This could be a lifelong career to.
I think these positions should be a salary position with full benefits and time off. If the people on this jury didn’t have to worry about money or benefits, they could devote their full attention to the case at hand. As it is now, when you serve on a jury, you generally don’t get paid as much as you normally do in your full time job so, you could be stressed and want a quick end to your time served. Of course, the people on this jury should be put up in the nicer hotels and not roach motels. They should also have their own room without sharing so they could rest comfortably. There should also be the full Per Diem paid as an expense account. What I am basically saying is that; the people on this jury should be as comfortable as possible while they are away from their homes and loved ones. That way, their minds can be devoted to the cases.
I know it is hard for some people to believe that humans can be impartial but, I disagree. Given the best comfort possible I think it is a real possibility. If there aren’t any high profile cases at a particular time, there could be a list of cases which want the ear of this National Jury. The jury could sit in on any case that could benefit from a completely impartial jury. There are a lot of details and possibilities to consider but, I personally think it is one idea that would work for our country’s judicial system. ~b
